LA PLATA, Md. (March 02, 2010) - The La Plata Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On February 22 at approximately 1032 hours, TFC W. Posey was on routine patrol traveling northbound Route 301, south of Billingsley Road when he observed the driver of a gray Buick not restrained by a seat belt. TFC Posey stopped the vehicle and made contact with the driver at which time he detected a moderate odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. The passenger Shelley Lamont Lancaster, 29, of Clinton, was arrested and charged with possession of CDS and paraphernalia.
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On February 27 at approximately 2215 hours, Trooper D. Ellington responded to the Clarion Hotel at 45 St. Patrick’s Drive to assist in the eviction of a patron from the hotel. Trooper Ellington and Trooper Scarlett (off duty working secondary employment) made contact with the patron, Shawn Anthony Morrissette, 25, of Angier, NC. Morrisette was arrested for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.
