MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Feb. 26, 2010) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, February 23 at 9:58 am, Dale Richard Linstead, 43, of Lusby, was arrested by TFC J. A. Pilkerton on a Bench Warrant (T3-14318) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on February 16. Mr. Linstead was served in District Court and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, February 23 at 12:25 pm, Hope Gover Beggs, 54, of Park Hall, was arrested by TFC J. A. Pilkerton on a Bench Warrant (T3-14321) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on February 9. The original charge was Driving on a Suspended License. Ms. Beggs was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, February 23 at 12:33 pm, Dorothea Laverene Wars, 44, of Lexington Park, was arrested by TFC M. A. Moore on a Bench Warrant (T3-14313) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on February 9. The original charge was Driving on a Suspended License. She was incarcerated in the St. Mary's County Detention Center pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, February 24 at 10:37 am, Curtis L. Sheldon, 28, Great Mills, was arrested by Tpr. R. L. Jackson on a Bench Warrant (T3-14327) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on February 24. The original charges were Disorderly Conduct and Disturbing the Peace. Mr. Curtis was taken into custody at the District Court and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

THEFT UNDER $100: On Wednesday, February 24 at 11:43 am, a female complainant, 23, of Hollywood, responded to the Leonardtown Barrack and reported to TFC M. A. Moore an unknown suspect took her wallet containing various credit cards, $4.00 and her driver's license. Total loss is estimated at $44.00. The complainant advised she was attending a meeting at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Leonardtown on Tuesday evening, February 23 between 8:30 pm and 9:00 pm. After the meeting, an unknown female asked the female complainant for a ride to the Marcy House in Leonardtown. When the complainant arrived home it was then when she discovered her wallet was missing from her purse. The investigation continues.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, February 25 at 2:55 am, Walter Jerome Ford, 24, of Lexington Park, was arrested by Tpr. E. R. Mersman on a Warrant (T3-14311) for Failing to Appear in Circuit Court in Leonardtown on January 22. The original charge was Possession of Marijuana. Mr. Ford was served the warrant at the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he is being held pending his appearance before the court.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, February 25 at 5:10 pm, Brian Keith Johns, 31, of Mechanicsville, was arrested by Tpr. N. E. Gresko on an Arrest Warrant (T3-14315) issued by the District Court in Leonardtown on February 15. The original charges were False Statement to Police Officer, DUI and Driving on a Suspended License.
