Detectives Arrest Two Suspects in Pizza Delivery Robberies

LA PLATA, Md. (Feb. 22, 2010)—Charles County Sheriff Rex W. Coffey said Sheriff's detectives arrested Aaron Deshawn Walcott, 19, and Kelvin Delonte Walker, 20, both of Waldorf, in connection with two armed robberies of pizza delivery men that occurred on February 3 and February 4 in the 3900 block of Newman Court in Waldorf. In each case, the suspects robbed the victims at gunpoint as the victims delivered pizzas.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division pursued several leads in the cases and subsequently developed Walker and Walcott as suspects. Multiple search warrants were executed at the suspects' residences and evidence linking them to the robberies was recovered.

Both suspects were charged with armed robbery, which carries a penalty of up to 20 years. They were remanded to the Charles County Detention Center with no bond. Detective G. Higgs investigated.
