LA PLATA, Md. (Feb. 04, 2010) - The Charles County Sheriff's Office released the following incident and arrest reports.
SHERIFF'S OFFICERS CHARGE STORE EMPLOYEE WITH ASSAULT, INDECENT EXPOSURE AND VISUAL SURVEILLANCE WITH PRURIENT INTENT: On January 24, Charles County Sheriff's detectives arrested Michael David Gordon, 27, of Brandywine, in connection with three separate criminal incidents that occurred at the PacSun store located at 11110 Mall Circle. Investigation revealed on January 9, Gordon - a store employee - made lewd comments and gestures to three different females - ages 18, 15 and 14. In the first case, Gordon grabbed an 18-year-old female, pulled her into a dressing room and exposed himself. The victim left and Gordon turned to another customer, a 15-year-old girl, while still exposed. The third incident occurred when a 14-year-old customer observed Gordon lying on the floor of a fitting room watching her as she tried on clothing in an adjacent room. Gordon was charged with second-degree assault, indecent exposure, peeping tom and visual surveillance with prurient intent (spying in the dressing room). He was remanded to the Charles County Detention Center with a $5,000 bond. Officer S. Duley and Detective K. Klezia are investigating.
ARMED ROBBERY: On February 1 at 1:29 a.m., officers responded to the Dash-In at 3620 Mattawoman Beantown Road in Waldorf for the report of a robbery. Investigation revealed the suspect entered the store and approached the clerk with an item to purchase. During the transaction, the suspect displayed a handgun and demanded money. The clerk complied and the suspect fled to a dark-colored SUV which was parked on the side of the business. Officers canvassed the area and processed the scene for evidence. A cash reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for the tip that leads to the arrest and indictment of the suspect.
SUSPECTS CHARGED WITH POSSESSION OF DRUGS WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE: On January 31 at 12:30 a.m., officers Yates and Clagett conducted a stop in the area of Buds Liquors at 2539 Old Washington Road. Upon approaching the car, the officers smelled marijuana. Officers recovered $450 worth of marijuana and nearly $360 worth of prescription pills. Sean Gerard Estep, 24, of Waldorf, and Kenyon Stansbury Thomas, 19, of Owings, were arrested and charged with possession of drugs with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia. Officer T. Yates made the arrest.
