PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Jan. 25, 2010) - The Calvert County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.
THEFT: Dep. Frank Winston is investigating a theft from a motor vehicle that occurred sometime between January 17 at 10:30 p.m. and January 18 at 9:00 a.m. Unknown suspect(s) broke into a locked vehicle that was parked outside a home on Patuxent Court in Dunkirk causing $800 in damage. They stole items totaling $570 in value, including a Balenciaga black leather purse, a black Olympus Stylus camera, Carrera sunglasses, a Benton camera charger a silver Ipod Touch, a diamond bracelet and a diamond/sapphire ring. BURGLARY: Dep. Aundrea Lawton is investigating a burglary to a home on Western Shores Boulevard in Port Republic that occurred sometime between 4:30 p.m. on January 17 and 6:30 p.m. January 18. A black Dell Inspiron B130 laptop valued at $1300 was taken.
BURGLARY: A Dell laptop computer valued at $500 was stolen from a home on Cedar Lane in Lusby sometime between January 16 and 18. Anyone with information is asked to contact DFC Aaron Locke at 410-535-2800.
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: After conducting a traffic stop on a vehicle on January 19 at 6:50 a.m. at Md. Rt. 4 northbound at Scarlett Drive in Huntingtown, Dep. Frank Winston found the driver, Jack Daniel Dillon, 30 of Lusby, to be in possession of suspected marijuana. He was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and use of drug paraphernalia, a plastic baggie used to contain marijuana.
THEFT FROM AUTO: Unknown suspect(s) entered an unlocked vehicle between January 17 and 19 that was parked outside a home on Childress Road in Lusby and stole a pink wallet with hearts on it that contained credit cards and ID cards. THEFT FROM AUTO: Someone entered an unlocked vehicle on San Angelo Drive in Lusby between January 18 and 19 and stole $2 in change. Dep. Economes is also investigating this theft.
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: A seventeen-year-old male from Great Mills was charged with possession of marijuana on a youth report on January 19 at noon after he was pulled over for a traffic violation by Dep. Frank Winston. The incident occurred on Md. Rt. 4 southbound just past Camaleer Pass in Owings. Dep. Frank Winston charged him and released him to a parent. A charge of possession of marijuana is pending against a 25-year-old female passenger, also from Great Mills.
BURGLARY: Dep. Christopher Waldron is investigating a burglary that occurred at a home on Ships Way in Lusby on January 22 between 9:30 a.m. and 7:45 p.m. A 32 inch black Samsung LCD television valued at $1100 and a 32 inch black Samsung television valued at $950 along with some cash were all stolen. CDS VIOLATION: While performing a patrol check behind the Calvert Apex Cinema in Prince Frederick on January 22 at 11:23 p.m. DFC Justin Livingston observed a vehicle with the engine running in the parking lot. After contacting the driver, later identified as Nicholas S. Rusk, 24 of Huntingtown, he found Rusk to be under the influence of alcohol and in possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arrested and charged with possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, a tin foil smoking device and driving under the influence.
