MSP Reports for Calvert County


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (May 15, 2009) - The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) Thursday released the following incident and arrest reports.

THEFT FROM VEHICLES: On May 6, 2009 at 8:18 a.m., Trooper Saucerman responded to M & H Auto Service in Owings for a reported theft from vehicles. Unknown suspect(s) removed catalytic converters from four vehicles in the parking lot. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Maryland State Police at 410-535-1400.

BURGLARY: On May 7, 2009 at 6:30 a.m., Trooper Wyer responded to Calvert High School on Dares Beach Rd. for a reported burglary. Several electronic devices had been removed from the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corp. building. Additionally, an overhead projector had been removed from the classroom building. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Maryland State Police at 410-535-1400.

POSSESSION OF PCP AND COCAINE: On May 9, 2009 at 12:10 a.m., Trooper First Class Merkleson stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Rt. 260 at Nana Russell Road in Owings. The driver, Rudolph Peets, Jr., 40 of Mitchellville, was arrested for DUI. A search revealed he was also in possession of PCP and Cocaine. He was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On May 9, 2009 at 6:30 p.m., Trooper Lewis stopped a vehicle for equipment violations at the Town Center Shopping Center, Dunkirk. The driver, Kearston D. Kammerude, 18 of Chesapeake Beach, was found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. She was arrested and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On May 10, 2009 at 12:35 a.m., Trooper Logsdon responded to German Chapel Rd. for a reported loud party and possible underage drinking. Upon arrival, Kyle G. Kleeberg, 19 of Prince Frederick, and Johnathan W. Pulte, 19 of Barstow, were observed passing a metal CDS smoking device containing burnt marijuana residue. They were arrested and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.

CONCEALED DEADLY WEAPON: On May 10, 2009 at 1:25 a.m., Trooper First Class Merkelson while assisting with a possible intoxicated driver, found a passenger, Brandon T. Zust, 18 of Prince Frederick, in possession of two knives and brass knuckles. Mr. Zust was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.
