LA PLATA, Md. (May 14, 2009) - The Charles County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.
ARMED ROBBERY AND ABDUCTION/WITNESSES SOUGHT: On May 13 at 10:50 a.m., the victim - a delivery driver for a pharmaceutical distributor - had just finished making a delivery at Northgate Pharmacy located at 3975 St. Charles Parkway in Waldorf. As he was getting back in his van, two masked men approached; one was displaying a handgun. The suspects pushed the victim to the rear of his vehicle, bound his hands, covered his eyes and then drove to St. Peter's Church Cemetery where they stole a large amount of prescription medications from the van. The suspects fled, although it is not clear if they escaped on foot or in a vehicle that may have been parked nearby. The victim summoned help from a person who was at the cemetery but the person left prior to police arrival. Investigators would like to speak with that witness or anyone who was at St. Peter's Church Cemetery yesterday morning. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective G. Higgs at (301) 609-6498.
