MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (May 7, 2009) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On Monday, May 4, at 1:11 pm, Tpr. J. Gibson responded to the 45000 block of Foxchase Drive in Lexington Park for reported disturbance. Upon arrival, contact was made with the defendant, Elvis Tyrell Frederick, 22, of Loveville. Mr. Frederick was standing outside an apartment yelling obscenities. While speaking to Mr. Frederick, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emitting from his breath. Contact was then made with a female witness, 22, of Lexington Park who advised she observed Mr. Frederick break the glass in the sliding door. Mr. Frederick was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Monday, May 4, at 4:21 pm, Bryan Anthony Ray Crawford, 19, of Mechanicsville was arrested by Cpl. S. Bennett on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13890) for Failing to Appear in District Court on April 7, 2009. The original charge was Driving on a Suspended License. Mr. Crawford was taken to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On Monday, May 4, at 5:25 pm, Tpr. J. Gibson responded to Dog Park in Abberly Crest in Lexington Park for the reported disturbance. Upon arrival, contact was made with the male complainant, of Lexington Park, who was walking his dog in the park area. He advised while walking his dog, another dog owned by Julia Marie Grodski, 49, of Lexington Park, attacked his dog. Ms. Grodski began yelling profanities and becoming disorderly at the park. The complainant attempted to separate the dogs when he was bitten by another of Ms. Grodski's dogs. Ms. Grodski continued to yell profanities annoying other patrons in the park. Tpr. Gibson took custody of Ms. Grodski for Disorderly Conduct. Animal Control was dispatched to the scene and took custody of the two dogs belonging to Ms. Grodski. She was then transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Monday, May 4, at 10:45 pm, Christopher Royal Gayle, 20, of Great Mills was arrested by Tpr. J. Gibson on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13912) for failing to pay deferred payment of $57.50 to the District Court by January 5, 2009. Mr. Gayle was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Monday, May 4, at 10:56 pm, Sabas Graciano Herrera, 33, of Laurel was arrested by TFC M. Moore on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13852) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on March 6, 2009. The original charges were traffic related and Driving a Rental Vehicle in Violation of the Rental Agreement. Mr. Herrera was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE: On Tuesday, May 5, at 9:15 am, Tpr. M. Koock responded to the 21000 block of Three Notch Road in Lexington Park for the reported theft from motor vehicle. Upon arrival, Tpr. Koock made contact with the male complainant, 49, of Lexington Park who advised on Monday, May 4, 2009 between 9:00 pm - 10:00 pm, he observed a white Ford Expedition pull up to the lot. A black male, approximately 5'10" and 185 lbs approached the silver 2003 Ford Expedition in the lot and was looking inside and then left in the white Ford Expedition. The year was a 2003 or newer model. The next morning approximately 8:00 am, the complainant observed the passenger side window was broken out and the DVD/radio Entertainment Center was stolen from the vehicle. Estimated damage and loss to the vehicle is $1,700.00. The investigation continues.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at 3:21 am, Robert Corey Lentz, 22, of Callaway, was arrested by TFC M. Moore on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13933) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on May 1, 2009. Mr. Lentz was taken into custody at his residence in Callaway and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
