Calvert County Sheriff's Reports


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (May 4, 2009) - The Calvert County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

THEFT: A seventeen-year-old male from Lusby stole a bottle of beer from CJ's Grocery store on Rousby Hall Road in Lusby on May 1 at 3:45 p.m. A store employee caught him after he left the store with the beer and called police. Dep. James Norton charged the youth with theft on a youth report and released him to a parent.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: A victim reported to Dep. Andrew Clas that sometime between May 1 and 2, unknown suspect(s) stole an Apple Ipod Nano, mint green in color, valued at $200 and a black protective cover for it, worth $25, from her unlocked vehicle on San Rafael Road in Lusby. Dep. Clas will continue the investigation.

BURGLARY: DFC Pete Aurich took a report from a homeowner on Tranquil Court in Prince Frederick who advised she pulled into her driveway on May 2 at 5:15 p.m. and observed an unknown male through the window in her living room. By the time the homeowner entered the house, the unknown suspect fled down the stairs and out another door. It does not appear that anything was stolen. Anyone with information is asked to contact Lt. Steve Jones of the Criminal Investigative Team at 410-535-2800.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: Sometime between May 2 at midnight and May 3 at 10:40 a.m., unknown suspect(s) stole a black Apple Ipod and charger valued at $360 from a vehicle while it was parked at the Super 8 Motel in Prince Frederick. Dep. Thomas Rickard is investigating.
