MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (April 27, 2009) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

DUI, DRUG ARREST: On Thursday, April 23, 2009 at 2:08 am, Jeremy Leigh Keigley, 30, of Bel Alton was arrested by Tpr. J. Gibson for Driving under the Influence and Possession of Marijuana. Tpr. J. Gibson initiated a traffic stop on a green Ford Contour on Pegg Road at Three Notch Road in Lexington Park for exceeding the posted speed limit. Upon contact with Mr. Keigley, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emitting from his breath. He was subsequently arrested for DUI. A search incident to the arrest revealed Mr. Keigley was in possession of marijuana. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

DRUG ARREST: On Friday, April 24, 2009 at 9:02 am, Jason Chad Davis, 30, of Macon, Georgia was arrested by TFC S. VanBennekum for Possession of Oxycodone without a prescription. Mr. Davis was a passenger in a blue Honda Civic when it was stopped on Three Notch Road at Thompson Corner Road in Mechanicsville for an equipment violation. A routine NCIC check on Mr. Davis revealed he was wanted in Baltimore City for Violation of Probation. Mr. Davis was taken into custody and a search incident to arrest revealed he was in possession of four Oxycodone pills. Mr. Davis was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a hearing with the District Court Commissioner and transfer to Baltimore City.

ASSAULT 2ND DEGREE: On Saturday, April 25, 2009 at 1:53 am, Shermaine Miles Hickson, 26, of Lexington Park was arrested by TFC E. Evans for Assault 2nd Degree. TFC Evans responded to the 48000 block of Spinnaker Court in Lexington Park for the reported disturbance. Upon arrival, contact was made with the female victim, 27, of Lexington Park, who advised she was assaulted by Mr. Hickson and left the residence. Mr. Hickson was contacted and returned to the residence where he was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

TRESPASS, DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On Saturday, April 25, 2009 at 8:35 am, Lavelle Bernard Miller, 26, of Leonardtown was arrested by TFC R. Rezza for Trespassing and Disorderly Conduct. Tpr. R. Jackson and TFC R. Rezza responded to the Do Dah Deli in the 25000 block of Point Lookout Road in Leonardtown for the reported disturbance. Upon arrival, contact was made with Mr. Miller who was yelling obscenities in the establishment. Contact was made with the female employee, 27, of Leonardtown who advised Mr. Miller was issued a No Trespass Notice on April 23, 2009 and was in violation and refused to leave and continued yelling obscenities. He was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

BURGLARY 4TH DEGREE: On Saturday, April 25, 2009 at 8:55 am, TFC M. Moore responded to the 44000 block of Medleys Neck Road in Leonardtown for the reported Burglary and Theft over $500.00. Upon arrival, contact was made with the male complainant, 45, of Leonardtown who advised between Wednesday, April 22, 2009 and Friday, April 24, 2009, unknown suspect(s) gained entry into the garage and removed a blue 2005 Honda Foreman TRX500 4 Wheel ATV, VIN 1HFTE314654005131. The Honda ATV has been entered in NCIC and neighborhood checks were conducted with negative results. The investigation continues.

MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY, THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On Sunday, April 26, 2009 at 7:01 pm, Tpr N. Gresko responded to the 28000 block of Three Notch Road in Mechanicsville for the reported MDOP and Theft from Motor Vehicle. Upon arrival, contact was made with the female complainant, 26, of Mechanicsville who advised unknown suspect(s) broke out the passenger side window to her tan 2003 Pontiac Grand Am and took the complainant's purse. The investigation continues.
