MSP Reports for Charles County


LA PLATA, Md. (April 21, 2009) - The La Plata Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) Monday released the following incident and arrest reports.

SHOPLIFTING: On April 11 at approximately 1105 hours, TFC J. Wilson was dispatched to Best Buy Electronics store in Waldorf for a reported theft. TFC Wilson made contact with off duty Sgt. B. Barnes of the Maryland State Police and B. Boston, Loss Prevention Officer with Best Buy who observed Benjamin Joseph Pedmo, 18, of Kylerton, Pa. and a juvenile cut a cord out of the package for a Microsoft Zune and exited the store without paying. Pedmo and the juvenile was charged with theft less than $100 and the juvenile was released to an aunt.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On April 12 at approximately 2334 hours, Tpr. W. Posey was traveling southbound on U. S. Route 301, north of Old State Coach Road when he observed a green Honda failing to drive within a single lane. Contact was made with the driver, Catherine Joelle Mcbee, 19, of Mt. Victoria. Tpr. Posey detected a strong odor of marijuana. Mcbee and her passenger Gregory Andrew Wilson Selph, 19, of Mt. Victoria, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On April 15 at approximately 0116 hours, Tpr. W. Posey was traveling northbound U.S. Route 301, south of Sub Station Road when he observed a gray Cavalier swerve several times into lane two. Tpr. Posey stopped the vehicle, made contact with Alexandria Danielle Fraijo, 18, of Upper Marlboro, he detected a moderate odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Fraijo was charged with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.

DUI, CDS, SUSPENDED LICENSE: On April 17 at approximately 0141 hours, TFC J. Wilson was conducting stationary speed enforcement on Berry Road, west of Bensville Road when stopped a black Isuzu Rodes for exceeding the speed limit. Contact was made with the driver, Randal Avery Bland, 43, of Bryans Road. TFC Wilson observed Bland’s speech was slurred and his eyes red. Bland was charged with driving with a suspended license, DUI, negligent driving, and possession of CDS.
