MSP Reports for Calvert County


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (April 16, 2009) - The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE: On April 9, 2009 at 8:00 a.m., Trooper Hunt responded to the 1200 block of Palisades Drive in Dunkirk, for a report of a stolen vehicle. The owner reported that the vehicle, a Teal colored 1995 Plymouth Grand Voyager, was taken from his driveway. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Maryland State Police at 410-535-1400.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On April 10, 2009 at 9:30 a.m., Trooper Lewis stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Route 260 at E Street in Chesapeake Beach. A search of the vehicle revealed marijuana. The driver, Joseph E. Sherbert, 21 of Chesapeake Beach, was arrested and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.

THEFT: On April 14, 2009 at 8:15 p.m., Trooper Haut responded to the 12000 Rousby Hall Rd. in Lusby for a reported theft. An orange Husqvarna weed trimmer was removed from the bed of the victim's pickup truck. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Maryland State Police at 410-535-1400.
