St. Mary's County BCI Narcotics Arrests


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (April 16, 2009) - The St. Mary's County Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) Narcotics Division today released the following incident and arrest report. The Division is an investigative team comprised of Detectives from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office, Maryland State Police Drug Enforcement Division and Federal Drug Agents (HIDTA Group 34). The Division was established on September 1st, 2007 and is based in St. Mary’s County.

ALLEGED COCAINE DISTRIBUTION: Detectives identified Gregory Martese Colbert, 22 of Lexington Park, as a distributor of cocaine. Further investigation led to undercover purchases of cocaine from Colbert. A review with State's Attorney Richard D. Fritz led to a presentation before the St. Mary's County Grand Jury and an arrest warrant being issued. Colbert is charged with both Possession of Cocaine and Distribution of Cocaine. Colbert is currently awaiting a bond review and is being held without bond at the time of his arrest.
