MSP Reports for Calvert County


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (April 2, 2009) - The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On March 28, 2009 at 7:50 a.m., Trooper Haut responded to the 1200 block of Golden West Way in Lusby for a reported malicious destruction of property. A window was smashed out of a vehicle during the night. Anyone with information regarding this crime is asked to contact the Maryland State Police at (410) 535-1400.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On March 29, 2009 at 2:20 a.m., Trooper First Class Lass stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Route 231 near the Benedict Bridge. The driver, James F. Mc Grath III, 25 of St. Leonard, was arrested for DUI. A search of the vehicle revealed marijuana. He transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.

MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On March 29, 2009 at 7:15 p.m., Trooper Saucerman responded to the 9200 block of Erie Ave., North Beach, for a responded malicious destruction of property. The complainant advised that the latch on his backyard shed had been broken. Nothing appeared to be missing at this time. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Maryland State Police at 410-535-1400.

THEFT OF VEHICLE TAG: On April 1, 2009 at 3:30 p.m., Corporal J. Bowman received a report of a rear registration plate having been stolen from a vehicle parked in a driveway in the 5300 block of Forest Trail St., St. Leonard. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Maryland State Police at 410-535-1400.

Guy Wesley, 47, of St. Leonard, arrested on 3/26/09 @ 1:04 a.m. by TFC M. Lass

James McGrath, 22, of St. Leonard, arrested on 3/29/09 @ 2:22 a.m. by TFC M. Lass
