Calvert County Sheriff's Reports


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (March 30, 2009) - The Calvert County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

BURGLARY: A home in the 7700 block of C Street in Chesapeake Beach was burglarized between March 20 and 25. Dep. Sarra Daniels responded to the call and was advised by the homeowner that a 17 inch television/DVD combo valued at $350 had been stolen. Dep. Daniels will continue the investigation.

BURGLARY/THEFT/DOP: An employee at Spring Cove Marina on Lore Road in Solomons advised DFC Robert Burggraff that unknown suspect(s) had burglarized 7 boats, stealing a $200 flat screen television from one and causing a total of approximately $11,700 in damage to the boats. The theft and vandalism occurred between 4:30 p.m. on March 25 and 7:45 a.m. March 26. The employee advised this is the second incident of this nature, the first occurring in mid-March with $500 in property stolen and damage in the amount of $3000. BURGLARY: A homeowner in the 3900 block of 7th Street in North Beach advised Dep. Andrew Woodford that sometime between 10:00 p.m. on March 26 and 6:00 p.m. on March 27 unknown suspect(s) burglarized his backyard shed and stole a 4500 PSI red and black power washer that had a Honda motor, and a DeWalt electric Sawsall in a black plastic carrying case. The theft is valued at $675. Dep. Woodford will continue the investigation.

THEFT: Dep. Vaughn Evans responded to a burglary call on March 27 at a home in the 3000 block of Solomons Island Road in Huntingtown. The owner advised that at some unknown time, unknown suspect(s) burglarized the home, stealing $4000 worth of copper piping. Anyone with information is asked to contact Dep. Evans at 410-535-2800.

ILLEGAL DRUGS: Dep. Roscoe Kreps conducted a traffic stop on Md. Rt. 4 northbound near Applebee's Restaurant on March 29 at 1:53 a.m. The driver, later identified as Thomas Jerimiah Murray, 23 of Chesapeake Beach, was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. He was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, a red cigar tube used to store marijuana, and driving under the influence.
