WALDORF, Md. (March 20, 2009)—The new Courtyard by Marriott in Waldorf on Thursday celebrated a ribbon-cutting ceremony that officially opened the 88-room facility. Charles County Commissioners Reuben B. Collins, II and Gary V. Hodge joined representatives from the Marriott Hotel chain, the Charles County Chamber of Commerce, and other well wishers.
The hotel features a lobby Bistro that serves breakfast and dinner, a large meeting room, and over 600 square feet of total meeting space.
Commissioner Hodge drew a round of applause when he compared the Waldorf Courtyard to his recent stay at a New York City Marriott. The amenities here far surpass what I experienced there, Hodge noted.
The motel is located at 3145 Crain Highway, and is within walking distance to many restaurants and local shopping centers.
