LEONARDTOWN, Md. (March 20, 2009) - The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.
SECOND DEGREE ASSAULT: On March 19 deputies responded to Iverson Drive in Great Mills for a report of a disturbance. Investigation revealed Gary Tharaldson, 37, of Great Mills, was involved in a verbal dispute which escalated into a physical assault when Tharaldson pushed the victim down and dragged her out of the residence. Tharaldson was arrested and charged with second degree assault.
COCAINE SALES: Vice Narcotics detectives received information that Shaun Darnell Dyson, 27, of Lexington Park, was selling cocaine. An investigation began in August of 2008 into Dyson and his alleged criminal activity. Detectives made undercover purchases of cocaine from Dyson. Those cases were reviewed with State's Attorney Richard D. Fritz and subsequently presented to the St. Mary's County Grand Jury. A warrant for Dyson's arrest was issued and he was arrested by Vice Narcotics detectives and patrol deputies. He is currently being held on a $10,000 bond.
