Bomb Threat at Calvert Courthouse


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (March 19, 2009)—Today at 8:08 a.m. the Calvert Control Center received a call from an unknown male making reference to a bomb threat to the court house. Units from the Calvert County Sheriff's Office and the Maryland State Police Barrack were dispatched to the Circuit Court, District Court, County Services building and County Annex building, which were all evacuated and scanned by K-9 teams from Calvert, Charles, St. Mary's and Prince George's County sheriff's offices. Sweeps were also conducted on parking areas.

No explosive devices were found and employees were allowed to return to their place of business.
