Suspect Arrested in Homicide on Indian Head Highway


PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (March 11, 2009)—The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit on March 6 arrested 21 year-old Jerry Williamson in connection with the homicide of Marvin Lynn Johnson that occurred on February 14, 2009.

Williamson was arrested in the 2800 block of Robinson Place Washington, D.C, without incident on March 3, 2009. He has been charged with First Degree Murder and has been remanded to the Department of Corrections on a No Bond Status.

On February 14, 2009, at approximately 1:33 a.m., officers responded to the 5100 block of Indian Head Highway, Oxon Hill, Maryland, for the report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found Marvin Lynn Johnson, 19, of the 1500 block of Southview Drive lying on the sidewalk in front of Meade’s Liquor Store with gunshot wounds to his upper body. He was pronounced dead on scene.
