LEONARDTOWN, Md. (March 10, 2009)—Green Holly Elementary School in Lexington Park achieved top energy savings of $700 for the month of January 2009, with a 19 percent reduction in electric consumption, compared to the same month last year, announced school officials today.
On Friday, March 6, the school system's energy flag was presented to Mr. Paul Fancella, principal, during the school's morning announcements. The flag will be flown at Green Holly for approximately one month and will then be presented to the school that achieves this honor for the month of February.
