LEONARDTOWN, Md. (March 9, 2009) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.
ASSAULT BY TEEN: On Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at 12:40 pm, Tpr. C. Evans responded to the 21000 block of Three Notch Road in Lexington Park for a reported assault. Upon arrival, contact was made with the male complainant, 42, of Mechanicsville, who advised he was assaulted by a 17 year-old male juvenile of Lexington Park. The complainant advised he was in the area attempting to locate an address to repossess a motor vehicle. He had stopped and asked for directions and was pushed by the juvenile and told to leave the area. The juvenile was located a short time later and was taken into custody by Tpr. Evans. He was charged with Assault 2nd Degree and released to his mother pending further action by Juvenile Services.
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at 10:19 am, Robert Lee Jupiter 3rd, 26, and Melissa Ann Owens, 24, both of Hollywood, were arrested by TFC D. Brill for possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia. Ms. Owens responded to the Leonardtown Barrack requesting a Trooper to accompany her to her residence so she can obtain some personal items. Once at the residence, TFC Brill escorted Ms. Owens into the residence to gather some personal belongings when TFC Brill observed in plain view a multicolored glass CDS smoking device. Mr. Jupiter and Ms. Owens were charged with Possession of Marijuana and CDS paraphernalia and released at the scene after being issued Criminal Citations with a preliminary inquiry court date of March 20, 2009.
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On Thursday, March 5, 2009 at 10:50 am, Nicholas Christopher Bologna, 24, of Mechanicsville was arrested by TFC D. Brill for possession of marijuana and CDS Paraphernlia. Mr. Bologna was operating a blue Mazda 626 on Three Notch Road at Rescue Lane in Hollywood when he was stopped for an equipment violation. Upon contact with the driver, Mr. Bologna, a strong odor of burnt marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. Mr. Bologna was found to be in possession of a CDS smoking device with marijuana and a round metal grinder with marijuana. Mr. Bologna was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.
PAINT SPRAYER THEFT: On Friday, March 6, 2009 at 9:20 am, a male complainant, 45, of Hollywood reported to TFC J. Fleetwood at the Leonardtown Barrack that he was the victim of theft over $500.00. Unknown suspect had stolen a Graco 2004 Model 3900 Commercial Motorized Paint Sprayer with a Honda motor, serial number BA2801. The complainant advised the paint sprayer was stolen between 5:00 pm on March 5, 2009 and 6:10 am on March 6, 2009. The value of the sprayer is $3,200.00 and the investigation is ongoing.
THEFT, ILLEGAL DRUGS: On Friday, March 6, 2009 at 11:57 am, Deanna Christian Higgs, 26, of Mechanicsville was arrested by Tpr. M. Koock for theft under $500.00 and Possession of Schedule II prescription medications. Ms. Higgs was an employee at the Tidewater Pharmacy in Mechanicsville when she was caught taking Oxycodone pills, (three each of 5mg, 15mg and 30mg) and also having three and a half Buprenerphine 8mg/Naloxone 2mg pills. Ms. Higgs was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review.
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On Saturday, March 7, 2009 at 1:32 am, George Dewayne Mulloy, 2nd, 23, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. M. Pitcher for possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia. Mr. Mulloy was operating a green Chevrolet S-10 on south bound Three Notch Road, south of Chancellors Run when he was stopped for exceeding the posted speed limit. Upon contact with the driver, Mr. Mulloy a strong odor of burnt marijuana was detected. Mr. Mulloy was found to be in possession of a silver metal grinder with marijuana. Mr. Mulloy was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.
ARREST WARRANT: On Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at 3:45 pm, Michael John Gardiner, 21, of Leonardtown was arrested by Tpr. J. Hardesty on an outstanding arrest warrant (T3-13878) issued by the District Court in Leonardtown on January 14, 2009. The original charge was two counts of Assault 2nd Degree. Mr. Gardiner was served at the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was being held on unrelated charges.
BENCH WARRANT: On Thursday, March 5, 2009 at 5:30 pm, Izella Edgar Bush, 40, of Lexington Park was arrested by TFC M. Moore on an outstanding bench warrant (T3-13850) for Failing to Follow Conditions of Probation. The original charge was Assault 2nd Degree. Mr. Bush was served at the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he is being held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
BENCH WARRANT: On Thursday, March 6, 2009 at 4:40 am, John Otha Dickens, Jr., 19, of Ridge was arrested by Tpr. W. Jefferson on an outstanding bench warrant (T313839) for Failing to Appear in District Court on February 27, 2009. The original charge was driving a motor vehicle without a license. He was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
BENCH WARRANT: On Friday, March 6, 2009 at 6:51 am, Trevis Lemar Butler, 27, of Mechanicsville was arrested by Tpr. G. Thompson on an outstanding bench warrant (T3-13840) for Failing to Follow Conditions of Probation. The original charges are Possession of CDS - Marijuana and Attempting to Flee on Foot from a Police Officer. Mr. Butler was taken into custody after being involved in a motor vehicle accident on Pegg Road in Lexington Park. He was incarcerated in the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.
ARREST WARRANT: On Sunday, March 8, 2009 at 8:32 pm, James Robert Nelson 3rd, 24, of Hollywood was arrested by TFC M. Moore on an outstanding arrest warrant (T3-13853) issued by the District Court in Charles County on January 16, 2009. The original charge on the warrant was Possession of Marijuana and Attempting to Elude Police Officer and Flee on Foot. TFC Moore also served a 2nd warrant on Mr. Nelson. This Bench Warrant (T3-13854) was issued by the District Court in Queen Anne's County on July 31, 2008. The original charge was DWI/DUI and Driving on a Suspended License. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
