MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (March 3, 2009) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

CAR VANDALISM: On Sunday, February 22, 2009 at 4:00 pm, TFC E. Evans responded to the 44000 block of Hunting Meadows in Callaway for a report of malicious destruction of property. Upon arrival, contact was made with the male complainant, 20, of Callaway, who advised unknown suspect(s) shot the windshield of his black 1999 Ford Crown Victoria. Estimated damage to the vehicle was $350.00 and the investigation continues.

CREDIT CARD FRAUD: On Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at 9:02 pm, TFC D. Brill responded to the 23000 block of Chandler Court in Hollywood for the reported theft over $500/credit card fraud. Upon arrival, contact was made with the male complainant, 49, of Hollywood, who advised a male juvenile, 17, of Hollywood obtained his credit card information and made several purchases in the amount of $1,811.18. The juvenile was contacted and was charged with the theft over $500 and released to his father pending further action by Juvenile Services.

MOTOR HOME STOLEN: On Thursday, February 26, 2009 at 3:35 pm, TFC E. Evans responded to the St. Mary's Yacht Club located at the Dennis Point Marina in Drayden for the reported theft of a motor vehicle. Contact was made with the male complainant, 63, of Arnold, reported that his motor home was stolen. The motor home is described as a 1999 Ford Pace Arrow motor home, white in color with blue stripes. The motor home was taken between February 20 and February 24, 2009. The vehicle was entered into NCIC and the investigation continues.

SUSPENDED LICENSE, POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On Friday, February 27, 2009 at 7:23 pm, Shauna Kathleen Shaw, 27, of Mechanicsville was arrested by Tpr. J. Pilkerton for driving on a suspended license and possession of marijuana. Ms. Shaw was operating a blue Volkswagen Golf when she was stopped on Asher Road, south of Tin Top School Road in Mechanicsville for exceeding the posted speed limit. A routine MVA check revealed Ms. Shaw's driving privileges are suspended. She was taken into custody and placed under arrest. A search incident to the arrest revealed she was in possession of Marijuana. She was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

ASSAULT: On Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 11:53 pm, Corey Lee Bond, 40, of Hollywood was arrested by Tpr. M. Adams for 2nd degree assault. Tpr. Adams responded to the 24000 block of Mervell Dean Road in Hollywood for the reported disturbance. Upon arrival, contact was made with the female complainant, 57, of Hollywood, who advised she had been assaulted by Mr. Bond. He was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT, TRESPASSING, PUBLIC INTOXICATION: On Sunday, March 1, 2009 at 4:09 am, Tpr. E. Page responded to the Sheetz in Great Mills for the reported disturbance with an assault in progress. Upon arrival, contact was made with the male complainant, 45, of Great Mills who advised John McDonald Douglas, Jr., 20, of Harrisburg, Pa. was intoxicated and being disorderly while inside the store. While outside the store, Mr. Douglas continued being disorderly and yelling profanities. He was taken in custody and placed under arrest for disorderly conduct, trespassing and public intoxication. Mr. Douglas was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

ARREST WARRANT: On Friday, February 27, 2009 at 5:50 pm, Walter Harrison Nelson, 41, of Lexington Park was arrested by TFC J. Stern on an outstanding Calvert County arrest warrant (T3-13837) for theft over $500.00 and failing to perform contract, act as a contractor without a license. Mr. Nelson was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

BENCH WARRANT: On February 25, 2009 at 5:40 pm, Russell Arthur Hayes, 46, of Mechanicsville was arrested by TFC E. Evans on an outstanding bench warrant (T3-13834) for failing to follow conditions of probation. Mr. Hayes was taken into custody at St. Mary's Hospital and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

ARREST WARRANT: On Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 7:00 am, Diego Artur Hernandez-Mendoza, 25, of Lexington Park was arrested by Cpl. M. Laney on an outstanding Charles County arrest warrant (T3-13841) for malicious destruction of property. Mr. Hernandez-Mendoza was taken to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

BENCH WARRANT: On Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 1:30 pm, Antonio Jawan Mooremoye, 24, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. W. Jefferson on an outstanding Charles County bench warrant (T3-13842) for failing to appear in District Court in La Plata on February 13, 2009. The original charge was driving on a suspended license. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review.
