Charles County Crime Solvers Offers Reward for Capture of Remaining Suspect

LA PLATA, Md. (Feb. 17, 2009)—A fourth suspect has been arrested and charged in connection with the murder of Timothy Scott Bryant, 30, who was shot inside his home last week on Fennel Place in La Plata. The Charles County Sheriff's Office on Friday, February 13 arrested William Curtis Rouse, 22, of Waldorf, charging him with first-degree murder. Rouse was remanded to the Charles County Detention Center with no bond.

Rouse was one of four suspects wanted in connection with the homicide. Two other suspects, Andrew Redfield and Vigil Curvey, were arrested on Feb.12; a third suspect, Antoine Dwayne Smith, 24, of Fort Washington, remains at large. A warrant is on file charging him with first-degree murder.

Members of the sheriff's Warrant Squad and US Marshals Office Task Force located Rouse walking near his residence in the 6000 block of Whistlers Court in Waldorf. As officers approached to arrest him, Rouse fled, say police. He was found a short distance away hiding under a trailer.

Charles County Crime Solvers is offering a cash reward for information leading to the whereabouts of the remaining suspect-at-large, Antoine Dwayne Smith. He is a black male, 5'10 and about 180 pounds. Anyone with information is asked to call the Charles County Sheriffs Office, Major Crimes Unit at (301) 609-6513.
