LA PLATA, Md. (Feb. 13, 2009)—Police in Charles County have released the name of the man who was shot to death in La Plata early Tuesday morning. Timothy
Scott Bryant, 30, was found suffering from a fatal gunshot wound by sheriff's officers after they responded to a Fennel Place residence in response to a shooting report.
Police determined that Bryant and five other adults were playing video games in Bryant's apartment when a group of armed men broke into the residence, forced everyone to lie on the ground and demanded money. One of the suspects shot the victim and the suspects all fled the scene, say police. None of the other people in the apartment were injured.
Police would not release Bryant's name until his family had been notified.
