LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Feb. 13, 2009)—Police today confirmed that the human remains discovered on Tuesday by a 67-person search team in the Cedar Cove area of Lexington Park are those of Mark A. Tippett. Mr. Tippett was reported missing on September 3, 2006 from that same area.
The investigation into the death is being conducted by the St. Mary's County Bureau of
Criminal Investigations (BCI)—a team of detectives from the Sheriff's Office and the Maryland State Police.
