MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Feb. 9, 2009) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On Friday, February 6, 2009 at 12:40 am, Noah Matthew Gyorgy, 21, of St. Leonard was arrested by Tpr. J. Pilkerton for possession of marijuana. Mr. Gyorgy was operating a white Saturn SC2 when he was stopped on Three Notch Road, north of Exploration Park Drive in Lexington Park for exceeding the posted speed limit. Tpr. Pilkerton observed in plain view a plastic baggie containing marijuana. Mr. Gyorgy was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

STOLEN VEHICLE PLATE: On Friday, February 6, 2009 at 6:20 pm, Tpr. N. Gresko responded to the 27000 block of Mechanicsville Road in Mechanicsville for the reported theft under $100. Upon arrival, contact was made with the male complainant, 36, of Mechanicsville who advised unknown suspect(s) stole the rear DC registration plate from his silver Audi LS. The registration plate has been entered into NCIC and the investigation continues.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY: On Saturday, February 7, 2009 at 9:20 am, Tpr. J. Hardesty responded to the 26000 block of Meadow Wood Drive in Mechanicsville for the reported residential burglary. Upon arrival, contact was made with the female complainant, 64, of Mechanicsville who advised unknown subjects kicked in the rear door of the residence and stole several items from the residence. A gas powered remote control car valued at $500.00, a red Honda Generator Model EU2000I valued at $500.00, a Dyson vacuum cleaner Model DC-7 valued at $300.00, a CD player valued at $50.00. Total value of the property stolen was $1,350.00. The investigation continues as there have been several burglaries in the area.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On Saturday, February 7, 2009 at 10:16 am, Lawrence Michael Fournier, 23, of California was arrested by TFC D. Brill for possession of marijuana. Mr. Fournier was operating a red Nissan Frontier on Three Notch Road, north of Hollywood Road in Hollywood when he was stopped for exceeding the posted speed limit. Contact was made with Mr. Fournier and a faint odor of marijuana was detected. Mr. Fournier was found to be in possession of a small jar and a plastic baggie, both containing marijuana. Mr. Fournier was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

ASSAULT: On Saturday, February 7, 2009 at 11:28 pm, Tpr. J. Pilkerton responded to the 24000 block of Mervell Dean Road in Hollywood for the report disturbance. Upon arrival, contact was made with a neighboring female, who advised she heard a female yelling next door. Contact was then made with the suspect, Wayne Tyrome Estep, 43, of Hollywood, who was attempting to run from the rear of the residence. He advised he was arguing with a female, 42, of Hollywood who had left the residence. She returned a short time later and met with Tpr. Pilkerton. After speaking with all parties, Mr. Estep was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was charged with 1st Degree Assault and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
