MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


MSP Trooper badge.LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Jan. 15, 2009) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

STOLEN VEHICLE PLATE: On Thursday, January 8, 2009 at 4:18 pm, Tpr. M. Pitcher responded to the 22000 block of Three Notch Road in Lexington Park for the reported theft of a Maryland registration plate. Upon arrival, contact was made with the female complainant, 69, of Lexington Park who advised unknown suspect(s) had stolen the Maryland registration plate from her 2003 homemade trailer. The complainant advised the last time the tag was seen was on or about June 1, 2008. The investigation continues.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On Friday, January 9, 2009 at 1:32 am, Kyle Stuart Richards, 21, of Hughesville was arrested by Tpr. J. Gibson for possession of marijuana. Mr. Richards was operating a white Chevrolet S-10 on Mechanicsville Road when he was stopped for exceeding the posted speed limit. Contact was made with the driver, Mr. Richards and an odor of burnt marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. During the course of the traffic stop, Mr. Richards was found to be in possession of a small bag of marijuana. Mr. Richards was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On Friday, January 9, 2009 at 10:32 pm, [redacted**] was arrested by Tpr. N. Gresko for Possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia. Tpr. Gresko was patrolling Indian Bridge Road when he observed a green Pontiac at the entrance to U Store It at 22465 Indian Bridge Road in California with the interior light on. Contact was made with [redacted] and a strong odor of burnt marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. [redacted] was found to be in possession of a CDS smoking device with marijuana. [redacted] was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

XBOX THEFT: On Saturday, January 10, 2009 at 6:50 pm, Tpr. E. Page responded to the St. Mary's Landing Rental Office at 21950 Pacific Drive in Lexington Park for the reported burglar alarm. Upon arrival, contact was made with the male employee, 42, of Lexington Park who advised unknown suspect(s) broke into the game room and stole an X-Box console and fled the scene on foot. Suspect information was not available and the investigation continues.

MISSING PERSON, VEHICLE THEFT: On Monday, January 12, 2009 at 8:01 pm, Tpr. M. Koock was patrolling Three Notch Road in Mechanicsville and observed a 2003 gray Ford Escort, Virginia registration in the median on Three Notch Road across from Mt. Zion Church in Mechanicsville. Tpr. Koock stopped to assist the motorist. A routine NCIC check revealed the 17 year-old female, of Dale City, was a missing person and the vehicle was also reported stolen in Prince William County, Virginia. The juvenile was taken into custody and transported to the Leonardtown Barracks. Contact was made with Juveniles Services and the juvenile was processed for the theft of motor vehicle. She was transported to the Waxter Youth Center in Laurel at approximately 11:27 pm.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA, DUI: On Monday, January 12, 2009 at 10:50 pm, Rebecca Lynn Rison, 35, of Mechanicsville was arrested by TFC E. Evans for DUI and possession of marijuana. Ms. Rison was operating a purple Volkswagen Jetta on south bound Three Notch Road in Mechanicsville when she was stopped for exceeding the posted speed limit. During the course of the traffic stop, Ms. Rison was arrested for DWI/DUI. A search incident to the arrest revealed she was in possession of a glass CDS smoking device with marijuana. Ms. Rison was taken into custody and transported to the Leonardtown Barrack where she was processed and charged with DWI/DUI. She was issued a criminal citation for possessing the CDS smoking device and released with a preliminary inquiry date of January 30, 2009.

DOMESTIC 2ND DEGREE ASSAULT: On Saturday, January 13, 2009 at 12:52 am, Wayne Tyrome Estep, 43, of Hollywood was arrested by TFC D. Brill for domestic 2nd degree assault. TFC Brill responded to the 24000 block of Mervell Dean Road for the reported domestic assault. Upon arrival, contact was made with Mr. Estep and the female victim, 42, of Hollywood. Both parties were interviewed and Mr. Estep was taken into custody. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was charged with 2nd degree assault and held pending a bond review.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at 2:00 pm, Tyler Jacob Vock, 18, of Chaptico was arrested by Tpr. J. Gibson for possession of marijuana and possession of a multi-colored glass CDS smoking device. Mr. Vock was operating an orange Nissan Frontier on Mechanicsville Road when he was stopped for exceeding the posted speed limit at Guy Farm Lane in Mechanicsville. Contact was made with Mr. Vock and a strong odor of burnt marijuana was detected. Mr. Vock was found to be in possession of a small clear plastic bag of marijuana and a multi-colored glass CDS smoking device. Mr. Vock was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT ARREST: On Thursday, January 8, 2009 at 3:00 pm, Terrence Llewelyn Mason, 44, of Morganza was arrested by Tpr. N. Gresko on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13756) for violation of probation issued by the District Court of Leonardtown on December 19, 2008. The original charge was Possession of CDS - Not marijuana. Mr. Mason was served at the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was already incarcerated on unrelated charges.

WARRANT ARREST: On Thursday, January 8, 2009 at 8:52 pm, Terry Eugene Snowden, 42, of Hysttsville was arrested by Tpr. G. Thompson on an outstanding Circuit Court Warrant (T3-13750) for driving while suspended. Mr. Snowden was taken into custody in Calvert County and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT ARREST: On Friday, January 9, 2009 at 11:35 am, Rodney Pernell McDow, 44, of Capitol Heights was arrested by Cpl. J. Linger on an outstanding two (2) True Bill Indictments (T3-13617) and (T3-13618) issued by the Circuit Court on September 18, 2008. The original charge was motor vehicle/unlawful taking on both warrants. Mr. McDow was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.
