PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Jan. 5, 2009) - The Calvert County Sheriff's Office released the following incident and arrest reports.
THEFT: Sometime between December 29 and 30 unknown suspect(s) stole more than $7000 in building materials from a vehicle owned by A&C Concrete Foundations at a jobsite
in Lusby. Anyone with information regarding this crime is asked to contact DFC Christopher Childress at 410-535-2800.
ILLEGAL DRUGS: Dep. Frank Winston conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on December 31 at 10:37 p.m. on Md. Rt. 4 southbound near Plum Point Road in Huntingtown. The driver, later identified as Michael Teddy Griffin, Jr., 26, of Annapolis, was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. He was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession with the intent to use drug paraphernalia, a clear envelope used to store marijuana.
BURGLARY: DFC John McCarroll investigated a burglary that occurred to a residential shed on Boyd's Turn Road in Owings between December 31 at 9:20 p.m. and January 1 at 9:08 a.m. The unknown suspect(s) stole $700 worth of property, a Coleman PowerMate generator. ILLEGAL DRUGS: On January 1 at 12:30 a.m. Dep. Christopher Wells conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Stinnett Road at Sade Ct. in Huntingtown. The driver of the vehicle, later identified as Joseph Eugene Roston, 18, of Huntingtown, was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana. He was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana.
THEFT: Unknown suspect(s) stole a green metal display rack valued at $100 from inside Bowen's Grocery store in Huntingtown on January 1 at 6:00 p.m. Anyone with information is asked to contact DFC John McCarroll at 410-535-2800.
THEFT: Between 9:30 p.m. on January 2 and 7:30 a.m. on January 3, unknown suspect(s) entered an unlocked vehicle parked in front of a home on Chesapeake Beach Road in Owings and stole a black purse valued at $50. Dep. Andrew Clas is investigating the theft.
DOP: Dep. Jason Dean investigated a destruction of property call that occurred sometime between December 26 and January 2. The unknown suspect(s) spray painted signs, a picnic table and a concrete pillar at the beach on Calvert Blvd. in St. Leonard. Anyone with information is asked to contact Dep. Dean at 410-535-2800.
