LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Dec. 21, 2009) - The St. Mary's County Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) Narcotics Division recently released the following incident and arrest reports. The Division is an investigative team comprised of Detectives from the St. Marys County Sheriffs Office, Maryland State Police Drug Enforcement Division and Federal Drug Agents (HIDTA Group 34). The Division was established on September 1st, 2007 and is based in St. Marys County.
FELONY DRUG CHARGES: Gregory Martese Colbert, age 23 of California, was served with additional felony drug charges and he is currently incarcerated in the St. Mary's County Detention Center. These charges come as a result of a continued investigation.
DISTRIBUTION OF COCAINE INDICTMENT: Deron Tyrone Bush, age 31 of Great Mills, was arrested on an open Grand Jury indictment for Distribution of Cocaine. Suspect Bush has been part of a drug network known on the street as the "Bush Boys." That organization has sold cocaine in St. Mary's County for the last several years. At least three other members of this organization have been charged and another is still at large.
DISTRIBUTION OF COCAINE: John Frederick Miller III, age 45 of California, was arrested as a result of a several month undercover investigation into cocaine distribution in various locations throughout St. Mary's County. Additional charges related to this investigation are expected.
POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE MARIJUANA: Roy David Snyder, a/k/a "Roy D," age 20 of Baltimore, was charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana. Suspect Snyder was found to be in possession of marijuana packaged for sale. He was originally held without bond.
DRUG AND HANDGUN VIOLATIONS: Vice Narcotics detectives were assisted in executing a search and seizure warrant on a Great Mills home. Once inside the target of the investigations, Tyreke D. Butler, age 18 of Great Mills, was located. Suspect Butler was arrested without incident. Detectives located cocaine, paraphernalia, scale, packaging materials and a 38 caliber handgun. The serial number was obliterated. Suspect Butler was charged with the drug and handgun violations and additional charges are pending.
