MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Nov. 30, 2009) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

DRUG ARREST: On Monday, November 23 at 12:07 am, William Adam Chesser, 30, of Lexington Park was arrested by TFC E. M. Evans for Possession of Marijuana. TFC Evans was patrolling Three Notch Road in Lexington Park when he observed a dark blue Acura TL exceeding the posted speed limit traveling south bound Three Notch Road. TFC Evans initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of Three Notch Road and Pegg Road in Lexington Park. Upon contact with the driver, Mr. Chesser, an odor of Marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. Mr. Chesser was found to be in possession of a zip lock baggie containing Marijuana. Mr. Chesser was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, November 26 at 7:30 pm, Allan Michael Joy, 19, of Mechanicsville was arrested by Tpr. N. E. Gresko on an open Bench Warrant (T3-14193) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on November 6. The original charge was Driving without a License and Driving while privileges are Suspended. Mr. Joy was taken into custody at his residence in Mechanicsville and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

DRUG ARREST: On Friday, November 27 at 8:20 am, Damon Wayne Cutchember, 32, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. N. E. Gresko for Possession of Marijuana. Mr. Cutchember was a passenger in a gray Chevrolet Tahoe which was traveling south bound on Three Notch Road approaching North Sandgates Road in Mechanicsville. A traffic stop was initiated on the vehicle at Three Notch Road and Kimberly Lane in Mechanicsville for exceeding the posted speed limit. Upon contact with the occupants of the vehicle, a strong odor of burnt Marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. Mr. Cutchember was found to be in possession of Marijuana and CDS Paraphernalia. He was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, November 27 at 9:35 pm, Patrick Alfonzo Gayle, Jr., 22, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. G. A. Thompson on a Grand Jury Indictment (T3-14211) issued by the Circuit Court in Leonardtown on November 20. The original charge was Accessory after the Fact involving a Robbery. Mr. Gayle was taken into custody during a routine traffic stop and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, November 27 at 9:35 pm, Joy Marie Jackson, 33, of Lexington Park was arrested by TFC C. M. Evans on a Grand Jury Indictment (T3-14211) issued by the Circuit Court in Leonardtown on November 20. The original charge was Accessory after the Fact involving a Robbery. Ms. Jackson was taken into custody during a routine traffic stop and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

DRUG ARREST: On Friday, November 27 at 11:24 pm, Glenn Fitzgerald Fenwick, 48, of California was arrested for Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Marijuana. TFC C. M. Evans initiated a traffic stop on Mervell Dean Road at Joy Chapel Road in Hollywood for exceeding the posted speed limit. Upon contact with the occupants of the vehicle a strong odor of burnt Marijuana emitting from inside the vehicle. Mr. Fenwick was found to be in possession of a clear plastic bag containing Cocaine and a partially burnt Marijuana cigarette. Mr. Fenwick was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Saturday, November 28 at 7:20 pm, Ashleigh Rae Emplit, 19, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. M. J. Pitcher on an outstanding Arrest Warrant (T3-14161) issued by the District Court in Leonardtown on October 20. The original charge was Malicious Destruction of Property. Ms. Emplit was apprehended at her residence in Lexington Park and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

DRUG ARREST: On Sunday, November 29 at 1:09 am, Sarah Anne McQueen, 22, of Nazareth, PA was arrested by Tpr. M. J. Pitcher for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. Ms. McQueen was operating a silver Mazda 6 north bound Patuxent Beach Road when she was stopped at the intersection of Patuxent Beach Road and South Patuxent Beach Road in California for exceeding the posted speed limit. Upon contact with Ms. McQueen, an odor of an alcoholic beverage was emitting from her breath. All field sobriety tests were performed unsatisfactorily and she was placed under arrest for DWI/DUI. Ms. McQueen was found to be in possession of a multi-colored smoking device containing Marijuana and four hand rolled Marijuana cigarettes. She was transported to the Leonardtown Barracks for processing for the DWI arrest. Upon completion, she was then taken to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Sunday, November 29 at 8:00 am, Timothy Lee Pilkerton, 35, of Mechanicsville was arrested by Tpr. B. T. Wiesemann on an open Bench Warrant (T3-14216) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on November 20. The original charges were all numerous traffic related charges. He was taken into custody at his residence in Mechanicsville and taken to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On Sunday, November 30 at 2:35 am, Shanae Elizabeth Dorsey, 19, of Leonardtown was arrested by Tpr. R. L. Jackson for Malicious Destruction of Property to a motor vehicle. Tpr. Jackson responded to the WAWA in the 23000 block of Three Notch Road in California for the reported fight in progress. Upon arrival, Cpl M. W. Laney had two individuals detained that were engaged in a fight. After interviewing witnesses, it was determined that the suspect, Ms. Dorsey was throwing gallon bottles of windshield washer from the display outside the store at the crowd. One of the bottles struck the windshield of a Cadillac CTS causing the windshield to break. Ms. Dorsey was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was charged with Malicious Destruction of Property and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On Sunday, November 30 at 2:33 am, Cpl. M. W. Laney was on patrol driving in the area of the WAWA Convenience Store in the 23000 block of California when he observed a crowd gathering in front of the store. As he pulled into the parking lot he observed several males including Sheldon Lyvonne Curtis, 28, of Great Mills and Anthony Lorenzo Curtis, 23, of Huntingtown engaged in a fight. Both subjects were detained and had a strong odor of alcohol emitting from their person. Both subjects were placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct and Disturbing the Peace and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where they were held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
