St. Mary's County Sheriff's Reports


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Nov. 5, 2009) - The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

ASSAULT: On November 4, Corporal Molitor responded to the A & E Motel for a report of an assault. Investigation revealed Mary Agnes Morgan, 39, of Lexington Park, was in a verbal dispute which escalated into a physical assault when Morgan punched and scratched the victim in the face. Morgan was arrested and charged with second-degree assault.

TRESPASSING: On November 3, Deputy H. Adams responded to St. Mary's Hospital in Leonardtown for a report of a trespasser. Investigation revealed Lavelle Bernard Miller, 27, of no fixed address, was served with a notice not to trespass on October 25. On November 3, Miller had no lawful business at the hospital and was asked to leave the property. Miller refused to leave and was still at the hospital when Deputy Adams arrived. Deputy Adams arrested and charged Miller with trespassing.

THIRD DEGREE BURGLARY, DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On November 3, Deputy First Class K. Meyer & Sgt. Walker responded to a residence on Saratoga Drive in Lexington Park for a report of a burglary in progress. When Sgt. Walker arrived on the scene, he observed a second story window shattered by a six-foot metal ladder, which had been thrown against it. Sgt Walker also observed a white male, later identified as John Michael Thompson, 32, of Lexington Park, standing on the second floor balcony. Thompson was completely belligerent. He cursed Sgt. Walker and told deputies he did not live at the residence. Thompson refused to comply with Sgt. Walker's orders to leave the balcony and exit the house. Corporal Fleenor and K-9 Kendo responded to the residence to assist. When Cpl. Fleenor and K-9 Kendo approached Thompson, he complied with Cpl. Fleenor's direction, was arrested, and charged with third-degree burglary and destruction of property.
