MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Oct. 29, 2009) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

DRUG ARREST: On Monday, October 26 at 9:56 am, Kyle Matthew Sagers, 32, of La Plata, was arrested by Tpr. E. J. Page for Possession of Marijuana. Mr. Sagers was operating a silver Honda Civic on northbound Three Notch Road at South Sandgates Road in Mechanicsville when he was stopped for exceeding the posted speed limit. Tpr. Page made contact with the driver, Mr. Sagers and a strong odor of burnt Marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. Mr. Sagers was found to be in possession of a clear baggie of Marijuana and CDS paraphernalia. Mr. Sagers was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

TRESPASSING: On Monday, October 26 at 12:17 pm, TFC M. B. Adams responded to the College of Southern Maryland, for the report of a person trespassing. Upon arrival, contact was made with the college security officer who advised that Lavelle Bernard Miller, 27 no fixed address, was on the premises after being issued a No Trespass Notice on September 30 by the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office. Mr. Miller was located in the cafeteria area in the center of Building #2. Mr. Miller was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

THEFT OVER $1,000: On Monday, October 26 at 1:08 pm, TFC M. B. Adams responded to the 30000 block of Charlotte Hall School Road in Charlotte Hall for the reported Theft from a Motor Vehicle. Upon arrival, contact was made with the female complainant, 39, of Mechanicsville, who advised two red Craftsman tool boxes valued at $1000.00 each, a NEXTEL Direct connect cell phone valued at $150.00, Sampsa Media MP3 player valued at $50.00, Sirrus Stratus Satellite radio, antenna and power cord valued at $50.00 Kenwood CD/Radio valued at $480.00 and the Maryland registration plates were stolen from a black 1995 Toyota Celica which was parked on the vacant lot. The stolen Maryland registration plates have been recovered. The estimated value of the remaining stolen property is $2,730.00. The investigation is ongoing.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Monday, October 26 at 11:45 pm, Antron Delvon Somerville, 25, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. R. L. Jackson on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-14129) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on September 25. The original charges are Driving on a Suspended License and DUI. Mr. Somerville turned himself in at the Leonardtown Barracks and was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, October 27 at 2:45 am, Charles Stephen Parker, 31, of Hollywood was arrested by TFC R. B. Rezza on a Bench Warrant (T3-14173) for Failing to Appear in the District Court in Leonardtown on October 23. The original charge was Assault 2nd Degree. Mr. Parker was taken into custody at his residence in Hollywood and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, October 27 at 10:24 am, Antonio Michael Burrell, 28, of Washington, DC was arrested by Tpr. E. J. Page on an open Bench Warrant (T3-14171) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown prior to 9:00 am. The warrant was served in District Court and Mr. Burrell was being held pending his bond review before the court.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, October 27 at 2:30 pm, Wayne Tyrone Estep, 44, of Hollywood was arrested by TFC J. A. Pilkerton on a Grand Jury Indictment (T3-13980) issued by the Circuit Court of Leonardtown on June 1. Mr. Estep was served the Grand Jury Indictment at the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was incarcerated on unrelated charges. The original charge on the Indictment is Assault 1st Degree. Mr. Estep was held in the St. Mary's County Detention Center pending his bond review before the court.
