WASHINGTON (Oct. 27, 2009) - The U.S. Department of Defense recently announced the following contract awards that pertain to local Navy activities.
Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., Stratford, Conn., is being awarded a $16,972,005 modification to a previously awarded indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract (N00019-07-D-0004) to exercise an option for the VH-3D/VH060N executive helicopter special progressive aircraft rework. Work will be performed in Stratford, Conn., and is expected to be completed in September 2010. Contract funds in the amount of $16,972,005 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md. is the contracting activity.
Vision Systems International, LLC, San Jose, Calif., is being awarded a $6,782,599 firm-fixed-price contract for the procurement of 20 Navy joint helmet mounted cueing system 40-degree night vision cueing and display units, including hardware and associated support equipment. Work will be performed in San Jose, Calif., and is expected to be completed in April 2011. Contract funds in the amount of $4,582,071 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-10-C-0007).
