Lexington Park Man Dies in Head-On Collision


LEXINGTON PARK, Md. (Oct. 27, 2009)—Charles Henry Wills Jr., age 42 of Lexington Park, died this morning as the result of injuries sustained in a crash when his vehicle crossed the center line of Route 235 and struck an SUV head-on. Mr. Wills was pronounced dead on the scene. The accident happened around 7:03 a.m. on Rt. 235 just south of Wickshire Drive in Lexington Park.

Police determined that a 1990 Honda Civic, operated by Wills, had been traveling southbound on Rt. 235 when, for an unknown reason, it crossed the center line and struck a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer operated by Elizabeth Parish, age 65 of Lexington Park.

The on-scene investigation was conducted by the Sheriff's Office Collision Reconstruction Team. The crash remains under investigation.
