Calvert County Sheriff's Reports


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Oct. 26, 2009) - The Calvert County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

BURGLARY: Between October 14 and 15 unknown suspect(s) entered a newly constructed home on Great Reward Way in Huntingtown and caused $900 in damage to the home. Dep. Roscoe Kreps is investigating.

CDS VIOLATION: A routine traffic stop revealed suspected drug paraphernalia on October 21 at 12:30 a.m. on Md. Rt. 4 south at Md. Rt. 509 in St. Leonard. Reginald Simmons Tyler, 33 of St. Leonard, was charged by Dep. Thomas Rickard with possession with the intent to use drug paraphernalia, a glass pipe.

CDS VIOLATION: Dep. Roscoe Kreps conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on October 21 at 1:57 p.m. on Lower Marlboro Road and Hollow Way in Huntingtown. The driver, later identified as Robert Eugene Davidson, 20 of Huntingtown, was found to be in possession of suspected drugs and paraphernalia. He was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of Clonazepam, and possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, an aluminum foil smoking device.

THEFT: Someone stole a Sears 18 foot aluminum canoe valued at $300 from a behind a home on Blue Heron Drive in Chesapeake Beach. Dep. Daniel Deakins is investigating.

VEHICLE THEFT: Unknown suspect(s) stole a 2002 Pontiac 2 door orange Trans Am while it was parked in the lot of the College of Southern Maryland in Prince Frederick on October 22 between 6:00 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. Anyone with information is asked to contact Cpl. Gary Shrawder at 410-535-2800.

CDS VIOLATION: Dep. Christopher Waldron arrested Nakia Mason Parker, 35 of Prince Frederick, after stopping the vehicle he was driving for a traffic violation on October 22 at 9:11 p.m. on Md. Rt. 231 at the State Highway Administration Building. Parker was charged with possession of Oxycodone and using drug paraphernalia, a cut black drinking straw used to ingest Oxycodone into the body.

THEFT: An Exmark Lazer Z CT lawnmower, valued at $6000, was stolen from a shed behind a home on Pushaw Station Road in Owings between October 15 and 22. Anyone with information is asked to contact DFC Brianne Gray at 410-535-2800.

CDS VIOLATION: Dep. Thomas Rickard checked a vehicle that was stopped in the roadway of the Fox Run shopping center at Steeple Chase Drive in Prince Frederick on October 23 at 6:00 p.m. The driver, later identified as Grover M. Ladd, Jr., 39 of Port Republic, was found to be in possession of suspected drugs. He was arrested and charged with possession of Meperidine and possession of Meperidine in sufficient quantity to indicate an intent to distribute same.

CDS VIOLATION: Dep. Daniel Deakins stopped John Leonard Lonigan, 18 of Dunkirk, for a traffic violation at the intersection of Jewell Road and Cavalier Drive in Dunkirk on October 23 at 7:45 p.m. Lonigan was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana.
