LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Oct. 26, 2009) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.
BURGLARY AND THEFT OVER $500: On Tuesday, October 20 at 1:30 pm, Tpr. B. Wiesemann responded to 45000 block of Rolling Road in Lexington Park for the reported Theft of four handguns. Upon arrival, contact was made with the male complainant, 86, of Lexington Park who advised unknown suspect(s) entered his residence and stole four handguns from the residence. The handguns were described as a Bersa, Model 380 ACP, serial # 905987 valued at $500.00, a Taurus Model PT99, 9mm, serial # L34735, valued at $500.00, a Beretta Model 22LR, serial # 948-05545 valued at $500.00 and a Beretta Model 3032 Tom Cat, serial # DAA18146 valued at $500.00. Neighborhood checks were conducted with negative results. All guns have been entered into NCIC and the investigation continues.
THEFT UNDER $100: On Thursday, October 22 at 5:48 pm, Tpr. E. Page responded to the Belk Store in California for the reported Theft in progress. Upon arrival, Tpr. Page made contact with the Loss Prevention Officer at the Belk Store who advised she observed Athetaya Laurel, 37, of California place three sets of earrings valued at $68.00 in her purse and leave the store without paying. The Loss Prevention Officer followed Ms. Laurel to her vehicle where she questioned Ms. Laurel, who returned the earrings and returned to the store for further questioning. Ms. Laurel was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, October 22 at 7:20 pm, Michael Kelly Fitzpatrick, 19, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. B. Wiesemann on an outstanding Grand Jury Indictment (T3-14065) issued by the Circuit Court in Leonardtown on July 24. The original charge is Possession of Marijuana. Mr. Fitzpatrick turned himself in at the Leonardtown Barrack and was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, October 22 at 7:00 pm, Brian Egan Dalsey, 47, of Hollywood was arrested by Sgt. J. S. Jones on an outstanding Arrest Warrant (T3-14168) issued by the District Court on October 22. The original charges are two counts of Assault 1st Degree. Mr. Dalsey was at his residence in Hollywood when he was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Bureau of Criminal Investigation office for processing. He was later taken to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
THEFT UNDER $1,000: On Thursday, October 22 at 1:42 pm, Tpr. E. Page was contacted at the Leonardtown Barracks by a female complainant, 24, of Lexington Park in reference to the theft of her wallet at the Wal-Mart Store in California. She advised she purchased items at Wal-Mart at approximately 6:50 pm on October 22 and inadvertently left her wallet on the counter after paying. Once she arrived home, she realized she left her wallet at Wal-Mart and called the store and spoke with the Loss Prevention Supervisor. The wallet could not be located and contained several forms of identification including her Florida driver's license, military dependant ID card and $120.00 in cash. The investigation continues.
THEFT UNDER $1,000: On Friday, October 23 at 6:31 pm, TFC C. M. Evans responded to the Wal-Mart Sore in California for the reported Theft. Upon arrival, contact was made with the male Loss Prevention Officer who advised the suspect, Wanda Denise Owens, 42, of Valley Lee attempted to leave the store with a shopping cart containing $272.72 worth of items and was approached by an employee to present a receipt prior to exiting the doors which she could not. The Loss Prevention Officer took Ms. Owens to the Loss Prevention Office awaiting TFC Evans arrival. Ms. Owens was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, October 23 at 11:45 pm, James Joseph Ickes III, 22, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. R. L. Jackson on an Arrest Warrant (T3-14162) issued by the District Court in Leonardtown on October 20. The original charges are two counts of Theft less than $100.00, six counts of Theft less than $1,000.00, 12 counts of Forgery/Private Documents, three counts of Issue False Documents and one count of Theft Scheme $1,000.00 to under $10,000.00. Mr. Ickes was served the warrant at the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he is being held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Saturday, October 24 at 5:05 am, Richard Hunter Plummer, 22, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. R. L. Jackson on an Arrest Warrant (T3-14163) issued by the District Court in Leonardtown on October 20. The original charges are two counts of Theft less than $1,000.00, six counts of Forgery/Private Documents, two counts of Issue False Documents and one count of Theft Scheme $1,000.00. Mr. Plummer was served the warrant at the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he is being held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. (0982011549)

Jackson on an Arrest Warrant (T3-14164) issued by the District Court in Leonardtown on October 20. The original charges are two counts of Theft less than $1,000.00 and Theft Scheme less than $1,000.00. WARRANT SERVICE: On Saturday, October 24 at 12:45 pm, Jerry Jerome Estep Sr., 40, of California was arrested by Tpr. N. E. Gresko on an Arrest Warrant (T3-13893) issued by the District Court in Leonardtown on April 13. Mr. Estep was taken into custody on a routine traffic stop and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was being held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Saturday, October 24 at 4:00 pm, Jerry Jerome Estep Sr., 40, of California was arrested by Tpr. G. A. Thompson on an Arrest Warrant (T3-14170) issued by the District Court in Calvert County on September 11. Mr. Estep was being held in the St. Mary's County Detention Center pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
