Single-Lane Closure to Occur Weekends between Late October and Mid-November
(October 22, 2009) The Maryland Department of Transportations State Highway Administration (SHA) will perform a routine inspection of the Governor Thomas Johnson Bridge in southern Maryland, which carries MD 4 traffic over the Patuxent River between Calvert and St. Marys counties. This work is part of SHAs bridge inspection program.
Crews will close a single lane between 6 a.m. and 1 p.m. on the following weekends: October 31 and November 1, November 7 and 8, November 14 and 15 and November 21 and 22, weather permitting. Flagpersons will alternate traffic in one lane of the two-lane bridge. Crews will have two large snooper vehicles on site for use during the inspection.
