Calvert County Sheriff's Reports


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Oct. 14, 2009) - The Calvert County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

CDS VIOLATION: On October 8 at 11:29 p.m. Dep. Roscoe Kreps conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Md. Rt. 4 northbound near Fox Run in Prince Frederick. A passenger in the vehicle was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Shannon Ashley Cronin, 21 of Lexington Park, was charged with possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, a soda can fashioned into a drug cooking device used to prepare Heroin.

BURGLARY: Dep. Robert Brady responded to a home on Anchor Drive in Lusby on October 9 for a reported burglary. The homeowner advised that sometime between October 8 at 10:30 p.m. and October 9 at 2:30 a.m., unknown suspect(s) had entered the home and stolen over $2800 in cash, a Taurus .9mm handgun valued at $300, an AEI .380 handgun worth $175, a 2 ft. by 2 ft. safe valued at $150 and 2 cartons of cigarettes. CDS VIOLATION: On October 9 at 5:40 p.m., Dep. Frank Winston responded to the Dunkirk WaWa Convenience store for a report of two men who refused to leave and were suspected of conducting drug activity at the store. Dep. Winston was advised that the two men had just left the store in a vehicle and were accompanied by a second vehicle. After locating both cars at the Dunkirk Citgo gas station, Dep. Winston, assisted by Dep. Aundrea Lawton, made contact with the three individuals. The driver of the second car, identified as Mary Kathleen Anderson, 20 of Owings, was found to be in possession of suspected drugs. She was arrested and charged with possession of Heroin, possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, a hypodermic needle, and possession of controlled paraphernalia, a hypodermic syringe. One of the men in the first vehicle was later found to have suspected drugs on his person. Phillip DePaul Bowles, 23 of Warsaw, Va., was arrested and charged with possession of Heroin, possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, a metal spoon, possession of controlled paraphernalia, a hypodermic syringe and possession of controlled paraphernalia, glassine envelopes in sufficient quantity to indicate an intention to use for illegal dispensing of controlled dangerous substances.

CDS VIOLATION: On October 9 at 9:33 p.m. Dep. James Norton conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on northbound Md. Rt. 2 and Wayside Drive in Owings. A passenger in the vehicle, a 17-year-old male from Owings, was found to have drug paraphernalia. He was charged on a youth report with possession of drug paraphernalia, a clear plastic soda bottle with a high lighter and wine cork connected to it inside a purple Crown Royal bag. The wine cork contained a burnt residue of suspected marijuana. The juvenile was released to a parent.

CDS VIOLATION: After conducting a traffic stop on a vehicle on October 10 at 10:00 p.m. at H.G. Trueman Road and Appeal Lane in Lusby, Dep. James Norton found the driver and passenger to both be in possession of suspected drugs. Angela C. Pagi, 21, and Evan F. Adams, 23, both of Bowie, were each arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, a glass smoking device.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Cpl. Vladimir Bortchevsky and Cpl. Anthony Moschetto investigated a suspicious male at the outside rear of the Crooked I Bar in North Beach on October 11 at 2:10 a.m. The unidentified male began to run when approached by the two officers. He was subsequently located and detained. Paul Evan Donaldson, 22 of Dunkirk, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.
