Calvert County Sheriff's Reports


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Sept. 28, 2009) - The Calvert County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

THEFT FROM VEHICLES: Between September 23 and 24 unknown suspect(s) entered 12 vehicles that were parked outside the homes of 5 victims on Evans Road and Juniper Lane in Huntingtown. The thieves made off with over $3200 in property including Ipods, DVD's, a laptop computer and cash. All 12 vehicles had been left unlocked overnight. DFC Marty McCarroll is investigating the thefts. THEFT FROM VEHICLES: Several unlocked vehicles were gone through and approximately $210 in property was stolen from within while the unlocked vehicles were parked outside homes on South Shore Drive and Deane Ave in Prince Frederick between September 23 and 25. Anyone with information relating to any of the thefts from vehicles is asked to contact Lt. Steve Jones of CIT at 410-535-2800 on extension 2462.

BURGLARY: A home on Delaware Drive in Lusby was burglarized sometime during the daytime hours on September 24. The unknown suspect(s) stole a Wii game system and game valued at $450. Anyone with information is asked to contact DFC John Harms at 410-535-2800.

CDS VIOLATION: On September 25 at 9:30 a.m. Dep. James Norton conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the parking lot of Prince Frederick Ford. The driver, later identified as Robert Reed Blake, III, 21 of Prince Frederick, was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, a black and silver smoking device containing a burnt residue of suspected marijuana.

CDS VIOLATION: DFC Moises Velasquez stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on September 26 at 3:50 a.m. at Md. Rt. 4 and Cove Point Road in Lusby. The driver, identified as Joshua Adam Lutz, 22 of St. Leonard, was found to be in possession of suspected drugs. He was arrested and charged with possession of Oxycontin, a schedule II drug and possession with the intent to use drug paraphernalia, a hose clamp.

THEFT: A golf cart valued at $600 was stolen from the Calvert Marina on Dowell Road in Solomons sometime between September 25 and 26. Anyone with information is asked to contact Dep. Christopher McDonough at 410-535-2800.

THEFT: Two bicycles, one green with a white seat and white tires and one metallic blue with pink rims and a pink seat were stolen from outside a home on Red Cloud Road in Lusby. If you have seen these bicycles please contact Dep. Christopher McDonough at 410-535-2800.
