LA PLATA, Md. (Sept. 24, 2009) - The La Plata Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) recently released the following incident and arrest reports.
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On August 24 at approximately 0053 hours, Trooper M. Cornbrooks was conducting stationary radar when he observed a white Lincoln Continental traveling southbound Route 210 at Carroll road with no tag lights. Trooper Cornbrooks stopped the vehicle and made contact with the driver Torey Tyrone Dorsey, 30, of Bryans Road. Dorsey was arrested for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.
POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On September 9 at approximately 1628 hours, Trooper W. Posey was traveling northbound U.S. Route 301, south of Theodore Green Blvd. when he observed a green Mercury Mountaineer swerving from one lane to another. Trooper Posey stopped the vehicle on northbound U.S. Route 301, south of Billingsley Road. He made contact with the driver, Warren Jacob Coady, 18, of Waldorf, when he detected an odor of burnt marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Coady was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana.
THEFT: On September 18 at approximately 1153 hours, TFC J. Wilson was traveling southbound on Rosewick Road at the railroad crossing when he observed Kelvin Nathaniel Greathouse, 44, of La Plata, and Bridgette Nanette Greathouse, 45, of La Plata, removing plates from the railroad tracks and placing them in their vehicle. They were both charged with theft less than $500.
