LA PLATA, Md. (Sept. 10, 2009)—The Charles County Department of Planning and Growth Management announced that Springhill-Newtown Road will be closed to all through traffic from September 21 through the 27th for replacement of the railroad crossing between Saint Mary’s Avenue and Greenland Place.
Signs will be posted notifying the public of the closure. The closure may be postponed if weather conditions create construction delays.
