Charles County Sheriff's Reports


LA PLATA, Md. (Sept. 9, 2009) - The Charles County Sheriff's Office recently released the following incident and arrest reports.

ARMED ROBBERY: On Sept. 7 at 11:30 p.m., officers responded to White Oak Drive in Waldorf for the report of a citizen robbery. Investigation revealed the victim was walking toward his house when a male approached and asked for a cigarette. The victim gave the man a cigarette and continued walking. The man followed the victim to the train tracks where another male approached. The men pushed the victim to the ground, displayed a handgun and stole his backpack, cell phone and wallet. The suspects fled and the victim was transported to an area hospital where he was treated for multiple facial lacerations. Officer A. St. Germain is investigating.

BURGLARY: On Sept. 6 at 7 p.m., officers responded to the 12300 block of Potomac View Road in Issue for the report of a burglary. Investigation revealed unknown suspects broke into a shed sometime between Aug. 31 - Sept. 6 and stole six fishing poles, two grills, a deep fryer, an oak table, and an Igloo cooler. Officers conducted a canvass and processed the scene for evidence. Anyone with information should call the Charles County Sheriff's Office at (301) 932-2222.
