MSP Reports for Calvert County


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Sept. 2, 2009) - The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) recently released the following incident and arrest reports.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On August 25 at 12:08 a.m., Trooper Haut stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Route 4 at Cove Point Road in Lusby. Darrnell I. Barnes, 22 of Bryans Road and Chanese L. Matthews, 22 of Lusby, were found to be in possession of marijuana. They were both arrested and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On August 25 at 6:05 a.m., Trooper Logsdon responded to Calvert High School for a reported destruction of property. Several areas of the school and the Calvert Career Center were marked with spray paint.

BURGLARY/THEFT: On August 25 at 6:35 p.m., Trooper First Class Johns responded to the 800 block of San Mateo Trail in Lusby for a reported burglary. The residence was broken into and a television and laptop computer were taken.

THEFT: On August 27 at 2:54 p.m., Trooper First Class Johns responded to K-Mart in Prince Frederick for a reported theft. Nadine M. Buck, 28 of Prince Frederick, was charged with shoplifting.

THEFT: On August 28 at 1:33 p.m., Trooper Wyer stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Route 4 at Route 231 in Prince Frederick. Summer L. West, 24 of Lusby, was arrested and charged with possession of needles and syringes she had stolen from Calvert Memorial Hospital. She was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.

THEFT: On August 29 at 2:29 a.m., Trooper Parker stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Route 4 at White Sands Drive in Lusby. A check of the vehicle's registration revealed that the registration plates were stolen. The driver, Abibi K. Mason, 29 of Landover, and Lydell (NMN) McCall, 33 of Washington, DC, were placed under arrest for Theft under $100 and taken to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.
