MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Aug. 31, 2009) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) recently released the following incident and arrest reports.

SOBRIETY CHECKPOINT: A Sobriety Checkpoint was conducted on Budds Creek Road in the area of Bayside Road in Clements. A total of 205 vehicles were stopped in the checkpoint, 2 drivers were arrested for driving under the influence at the checkpoint, 1 additional driver was arrested for driving under the influence by an observation unit after a traffic stop for an illegal U turn.WARRANT SERVICE: On Saturday, August 22, 2009 at 2:48 pm, Frederick Douglas Milburn, 60, of Leonardtown was arrested by Tpr. G. A. Thompson on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13987) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on June 5, 2009. The original charge was Driving an Uninsured Motor Vehicle. Mr. Milburn was taken into custody at a residence in Lexington Park and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Saturday, August 22, 2009 at 11:30 pm, Mary Theresa Dickerson, 51, of Mechanicsville was arrested by Tpr. N. E. Gresko, on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13211) for Failing to Follow Conditions of Probation. The original charge was Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. Ms. Dickerson was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Sunday, August 23, 2009 at 7:50 pm, Lisa Marie Gray, 27, of Newburg was arrested by TFC J. R. Stern on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-14011) for Failing to Follow Conditions of Probation. The original charges were DWI/DUI and numerous other traffic related charges. Ms. Gray was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

THEFT UNDER $500: On Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at 1:20 am, Tpr. N. E. Gresko responded to the Food Lion in Lexington Park for the reported Theft. Upon arrival, contact was made with the female complainant, 30, of Lexington Park. She advised while shopping with her son, an unknown suspect stole her purse from the shopping cart. In addition to the purse which was valued at $25.00 were a pink Sprint cellular phone was stolen valued at $100.00 and approximately $25.00 in cash. A search of the outside area revealed negative results. The investigation continues.
