LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Aug. 24) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.
FRAUD PERSONAL IDENTITY TO AVOID PROSECUTION: On Tuesday, August 18 at 8:57 am, Tpr. E. J. Page stopped a silver Buick on Three Notch Road, south of Great Mills Road in Lexington Park for exceeding the posted speed limit. When contact was made with the rear seated passenger he assumed the identity of his mentally handicapped brother. A call was placed to his mother at which time the subject revealed his true identity as Martin Lee Bundy, 45, of Waldorf. He stated he assumed his brother identity to avoid being arrested on an open warrant in Prince Georges County and two open warrants through Charles County. Mr. Bundy was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. Mr. Bundy was also served with the open warrants accordingly.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY: On Tuesday, August 18 at 3:07 pm, TFC E. M. Evans responded to the 23000 block of Point Lookout Road in Leonardtown for the reported Burglary. Upon arrival, contact was made with the male complainant, 44, of Leonardtown. He advised an unknown subject entered his residence and stole approximately $250.00 in assorted coins from a jar in the residence. Neighborhood checks were conducted with negative results. The investigation continues.
FALSE STATEMENT: On Thursday, August 20 at 2:18 pm, TFC J. A. Pilkerton responded to area of Pegg Road and Midway Drive in Lexington Park to assist Sgt. C. Force on a traffic stop. She stopped a Ford Taurus for exceeding the posted speed limit and an equipment violation. During the course of the traffic stop, the driver, Malinda Michele Brock, 20, of Lexington Park was arrested for providing a police officer a false statement as to the identity of the passenger, Antwaun Marquis Somerville, 20, of Great Mills in the vehicle. Mr. Somerville had an open warrant through the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office. Ms. Brock was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, August 21 at 3:30 pm, Vernon Keith Williams, 39, of Mechanicsville was arrested by TFC C. M. Evans on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-14087) for Failing to Follow Conditions of Probation in Charles County. Mr. Williams was taken into custody at the Parole & Probation office in Leonardtown. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
DRIVING ON SUSPENDED AND REVOKED LICENSE, DUI AND DRUG ARREST: On Saturday, August 22 at 1:25 am, Ohmer Watson Webb, 4th, 25, of Mechanicsville was arrested by Tpr. N. E. Gresko for Driving on a Suspended and Revoked Driver's License, DUI and Possession of a prescription drug not prescribed to him. Mr. Webb was the operator of a black Chevrolet Cavalier when he was stopped on Mechanicsville Road at Carpenter Drive in Mechanicsville for exceeding the posted speed limit. Upon contact with the driver, Mr. Webb, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emitting from his breath. A routine MVA check revealed Mr. Webb's driving privileges were both suspended and revoked. Mr. Webb was placed under arrest. He was also found to be in possession of a Percocet pill not prescribed to him. He was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY UNDER $500: On Saturday, August 22 at 1:55 am, Ryan Anthony Anderson, 32, of Nottingham, PA was arrested by TFC M. Davis and charged with Malicious Destruction of Property under $500.00. Mr. Anderson was observed using a screwdriver to puncture the left rear tire on a Club Car XRT1550 4x4 ATV at the Budds Creek Motorcross at 27963 Budds Creek Road in Mechanicsville. Mr. Anderson was issued a Criminal Citation and released at the scene.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT 2ND DEGREE: On Saturday, August 22 at 3:22 am, Selma Cherair, 42, of Philadelphia was arrested by TFC M. Davis for Domestic Assault 2nd Degree. TFC Davis was working at the Budds Creek Motorcross in Mechanicsville when he was summoned to the rear camping area for the reported assault. Once on the scene, contact was made with the male victim, 33, of Philadelphia who advised he was scratched and slapped by the suspect, Ms. Cherair. Ms. Cherair was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
