MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Aug. 21, 2009) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT & MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On Sunday, August 16 at 5:32 pm, Tpr. G. A. Thompson responded to the 45000 block of Jay Dee Court in Lexington Park for the reported Disturbance. Tpr. Thompson arrived on the scene and made contact with the female complainant, 66, of Lexington Park. She advised, she and the suspect, Bernard Luther Williams, 54, of Lexington Park were outside the residence when Mr. Williams began yelling and throwing things at the victim. Mr. Williams went inside the residence where he broke out the living room window and a lamp. Mr. Williams was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

THEFT OVER $500: On Sunday, August 16 at 6:30 pm, Tpr. W. S. Jefferson responded to the 40000 block of Frederick Lane in Loveville for the reported Theft. Upon arrival, contact was made with the female complainant, 45, of Loveville. She advised she discovered her York air conditioning unit was stolen from behind the residence. Tpr. Jefferson observed tracks leading from the residence through the woods and located the air conditioning unit in a nearby barn approximately 200 feet from the residence. Neighborhood checks were also conducted with negative results. The air conditioning unit was returned to the victim. The investigation continues.

DRUG ARREST: On Monday, August 17 at 12:56 pm, Sarah Elizabeth Gibson, 23, of Mechanicsville and Billy Dale Jackle, 28, of Lexington Park were arrested by Tpr. N. E. Gresko for Possession of Marijuana. Ms. Gibson was operating a black Ford Bronco on Point Lookout Road when she was stopped for an equipment violation at Piney Point Road in Callaway. While speaking with Ms. Gibson an odor of burnt Marijuana was detected emitting from her clothing. Both Ms. Gibson and Mr. Jackle were found to be in possession of two Marijuana cigars and a small baggie of Marijuana. Both subjects were taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where they were held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Monday, August 17 at 1:56 pm, Raechel Juanita Karl, 26, of Lexington Park was arrested by Tpr. E. J. Page on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-14082) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on August 13. The original charge was Assault 2nd Degree. Ms. Karl was taken into custody from a traffic stop in Avenue and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

DRUG ARREST AND FUGITIVE OTHER AREA: On Tuesday, August 18 at 1:40 am, Kelvin Donel Dyson, 41, of Waldorf was arrested by Cpl. M. W. Laney on an outstanding Fugitive Warrant in Florida, Possession of Cocaine and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. Cpl. Laney was assisting Tpr. Jackson at the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Colton Point Road, north of River Springs Road in Avenue when he was contacted by EMS personnel concerning a possible intoxicated driver. Cpl. Laney made contact with Mr. Dyson who was standing outside a gray Cadillac DTS waiting for the roadway to open. A strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emitting from his person. A routine NCIC Wanted check and MVA check were performed and Mr. Dyson's driving privileges were suspended and revoked. He was advised not to drive. The NCIC wanted check returned and it revealed Mr. Dyson had an open warrant through Florida. Mr. Dyson was placed under arrest for the open warrant. He was found to be in possession of a glass CDS smoking device with Cocaine. Mr. Dyson was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review and an extradition hearing for his return to Florida on the open felony warrant.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, August 18 at 9:57 am, Martin Lee Bundy, 45, of Waldorf was arrested by Tpr. E. J. Page on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-14083) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Upper Marlboro on January 22, 2008. The original charge was Assault 2nd Degree. Mr. Bundy was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, August 18 at 4:30 pm, Wayne Darnell Winters, 37, of Lexington Park was arrested by TFC E. M. Evans on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13767) for Failing to Follow Conditions of Probation. The original charge was for DUI. Mr. Winters was served at the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, August 18 at 5:15 pm, Lorry Rochelle Albers, 39, of Norfolk, VA was arrested by TFC J. G. Fleetwood on an Arrest Warrant (T3-13999) issued by the District Court in Leonardtown on June 16. The original charges are nine counts of Identity Theft, one count each of Theft Scheme over $500.00, Theft over $500.00 and False Credit Card Charges over $500.00. Ms. Albers was extradited back from Norfolk on Tuesday and incarcerated in the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she is being held pending her initial appearance before a judicial officer of the District Court.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, August 19 at 4:30 am, Robert Garry Jones Jr., 46, of Hughesville was arrested by TFC R. B. Rezza on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-14079) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on July 16. The original charges were Resisting Arrest, Possession of CDS and CDS Paraphernalia, Attempting to Elude Uniformed Police by fleeing on foot and other traffic related charges. He was also served a 2nd outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-14039) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on August 11 for numerous traffic related charges. Mr. Jones was apprehended at his Hughesville address and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, August 19 at 12:45 pm, James Douglas Windsor, 30, of Woodbridge, VA was arrested by TFC M. R. Grimes on an outstanding Arrested Warrant (T3-13877) issued by the District Court in Leonardtown on March 27. The original charge was Malicious Destruction of Property over $500.00. Mr. Windsor was apprehended and held in Prince William County, Virginia pending his extradition back to St. Mary's County. He was returned and served the Arrest Warrant and held in the St. Mary's County Detention Center pending his initial appearance before a judicial officer of the District Court.
