MSP Reports for Calvert County


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Aug. 19, 2009) - The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

DUI CHECKPOINTS: The Maryland State Police Prince Frederick Barrack will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint during the weekend of August 21 through August 23. The operation will be conducted with the five State and the District of Columbia campaign, "Checkpoint Strikeforce." The goal is to reduce the number of drunk and drugged drivers on Calvert County roadways.

MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On August 11 at 11:55 a.m., Trooper Saucerman responded to the 8800 block of Erie Avenue in North Beach, for a reported destruction of property. Copper piping an air conditioning unit was destroyed.

THEFT: On August 13 at 11:51 a.m., Trooper Parker responded to the 12800 block of Rio Grande Trail in Lusby for a reported theft. A purse was stolen from a vehicle parked in the driveway.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On August 13 at 7:30 p.m., Trooper Wyer responded to Grover Field Public Park in St. Leonard to assist an off-duty sheriff's deputy with a possible Marijuana arrest. A 14-year-old juvenile male from St. Leonard was arrested for possession of marijuana. The subject was transported to the Prince Frederick Barrack for processing.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On August 15 at 5:41 p.m., Trooper Parker stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on St. Leonard Road south of Calvert Beach Road in St. Leonard. Timothy L. Schwallenberg, 23 of St. Leonard, was arrest for possession of marijuana. He was incarcerated in the Calvert County Detention Center.

THEFT: On August 16 at 3:20 p.m., Trooper Parker handled a call for a report of a stolen tag. The victim reported that a registration plate had been removed from a motorcycle while parked in the 6200 block of Summer City Blvd., Chesapeake Beach.

POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA: On August 17 at 2:55 p.m., Trooper Cavill observed a disabled vehicle on Route 4 in the area of Yellow Bank Road in Dunkirk. The occupant of the vehicle, James R. Delahoussaye, 24 of Lusby, was found to have an open warrant for his arrest. During the arrest he was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. He was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.

MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On August 17 at 5:40 p.m., Trooper First Class Wiersma responded to West Mount Harmony Road at Highpoint Court in Owings for a reported destruction of property. A 17-year-old juvenile from Chesapeake Beach was arrested for damaging his mother's car by kicking it. He was taken to the Prince Frederick Barrack for processing.

ASSAULT: On August 17 at 11:40 p.m., Trooper First Class Lass responded to the parking lot at Solomon's Pier for a reported assault. Kyle W. Hinchman, 22 of Lusby, was arrested for Assault, Disorderly Conduct and Intoxicated Endangerment. He was in the custody of the Calvert County Sheriff's Office at the time he was served with charging documents.
