LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Aug. 17, 2009) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.
PRESCRIPTION FRAUD: On Thursday, August 13 at 1:35 pm, Tpr. W. S. Jefferson responded to the Tidewater Pharmacy in the 28000 block of Three Notch Road in Mechanicsville for the reported Prescription Fraud. Upon arrival, contact was made with the female employee/complainant who advised John Murray Peterson, 58, of Lexington Park altered a prescription for medication for Oxycodone. Mr. Peterson was arrested by Tpr. Jefferson and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
FALSE IDENTIFICATION: On Friday, August 14 at 1:26 am, Lakeshia Diane Jenkins, 33, of Lexington Park was arrested by TFC M. A. Moore for DUI/DWI and giving False Identification to avoid Prosecution. Ms. Jenkins was operating a white Ford Contour on Patuxent Beach Road when she was stopped at Oak Road in California for failing to drive right of center. TFC Moore made contact with the operator, Ms. Jenkins. She advised she had no identification and provided her sister's name. TFC Moore knowing she was giving a false name as she did the same thing on a previous arrest in March 2009. Ms. Jenkins was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was charged with DUI/DWI and False Identity to Avoid Prosecution. She was held at the detention center pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
ASSAULT 2ND DEGREE: On Saturday, August 15 at 4:36 pm, Cheryl Ann Kaspar, 45, of Edgewater was arrested by Tpr. G. A. Thompson for Assault on a Police Officer. Tpr. Thompson responded to Point Lookout Road and Park Hall Road in Park Hall to assist Deputy Nielson on a traffic stop. Once on the scene, Ms. Kaspar became disorderly. Tpr. Thompson ordered Ms. Kaspar to calm down and stop yelling. She spit on Tpr. Thompson and was arrested for Assault 2nd Degree on a Police Officer. Ms. Kaspar was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
