Fire Marshals Searching for Arsonists in Waldorf Vehicle Fire

WHITE PLAIN, Md. (August 7, 2009)—Deputy State Fire Marshals are continuing with their investigation into locating the person or persons responsible for intentionally setting fire to a 2005 Dodge Neon. The 1:45 a.m. fire occurred at the Re-Po Company Auto Sales located in the 4500 block of Crain Highway.

The early morning fire was reported to the Charles County 911 Center by a passerby and brought approximately 18 firefighters from Waldorf and La Plata to the scene.

The fire caused an estimated $100,000.00 in damage to the vehicles.

Deputy State Fire Marshals are seeking the public's help in identifying the person or persons responsible for the fire. Anyone with information is asked to call the "Maryland Arson Hotline" at 1-800-492-7529.
