MSP Reports for Calvert County


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Aug. 5, 2009) - The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) recently released the following incident and arrest reports.

THEFT: On July 29 at 1:49 p.m., Trooper First Class Lass responded to Schwan Home Delivery Services in Prince Frederick for a reported theft. A former employee, Nicholas Pielmeier, 26 of Hollywood, had failed to deposit proceeds from customer sales and return company issued uniforms. Charges are pending.

MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On July 30 at 9:30 a.m., Trooper First Class Hunt responded to the 11300 block of Sitting Bull Trail in Lusby, for a report of destruction of property. Michael J. Smith, 24 of Bowie, was charged with destruction of property and DUI. He was taken to the Prince Frederick Barrack for processing.

BURGLARY: On July 30 at 11:00 a.m., Trooper First Class Laziuck responded to the 1200 block of Skinners Turner Rd., Owings, for a reported burglary. The victim reported that the home had been broken into and a handgun had been removed. Investigation continues.

MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On July 30 at 12:57 p.m., Trooper First Class Laziuck responded to the 2300 block of Sansbury Dr., Chesapeake Beach, for a reported destruction of property of a vehicle. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had broken her rear right window in the vehicle. A similar problem had gone unreported approximately three weeks prior. The victim advised there had been recent problems with some neighborhood children. Investigation continues.

POSSESSION OF COCAINE: On July 30 at 8:50 p.m., Trooper First Class Dawson stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Hunting Creek Rd. and Bowie Shop Rd. in Huntingtown. Ashley R. Hutching, 25 of Huntingtown, was arrested and charged with DUI, possession of cocaine and paraphernalia. She was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On July 31 at 5:20 p.m., Trooper First Class Lass responded to the Cove Point Park for a reported theft. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had removed a black bag containing credit cards, Medicare ID card, eyeglasses, driver's license and other miscellaneous items from her vehicle. Investigation continues.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On August 1 at 12:35 am., Trooper First Class Bowling stopped a vehicle for traffic violations at War Bonnet Trail and Tomahawk Trail in Lusby. A passenger in the vehicle, Andre D. Butler, 21 of Waldorf, was found to be in possession of marijuana. He was arrested and taken to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.

MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On August 3 at 7:05 am, Trooper First Class Hunt responded to Clay Hammond Rd. for reported destruction of property. Unknown suspect(s) destroyed several mailboxes on the road. Investigation continues.

THEFT: On August 3 at 3:50 p.m., Trooper Saucerman responded to the Safeway in Prince Frederick for a report of theft. Bobby R. Wimmer, 36 of Elkridge, and Dwana L. Edwards, 38 of Elkridge, were arrested for theft. They were transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.
